Our Mission

The Canterwood Riding Club (CRC) is a member supported, non-profit (501c7) organization focused on high quality care of the horse and equine education for all those that are part of our community.

Objectives:

  1. To promote responsible horsemanship to experienced and beginner riders as well.
  2. To increase public awareness of such horsemanship through education, training  and by portraying a positive image through community services both inside and outside of the Canterwood community.
  3. To provide educational and challenging experiences that will enable members to become knowledgeable and skilled in horsemanship.
  4. To provide information and opportunities for training in disciplines of equitation as members’ interests dictate.
  5. To organize and conduct events to promote camaraderie among members.
  6. To provide a safe and healthy facility to board horses for members that so choose to keep their horses on premises.
  7. To provide a safe facility for riding in all four seasons.

Board of Directors

CRC is governed by a Board of Directors currently comprised of 4 members from the Canterwood Home Owners Association and one to two Special Members who represents the non-Canterwood stall boarders. The Board of Directors is responsible for establishing policies, ensuring adherence to barn policy and regulation and making the care of horse and rider a priority.
