Meet our Trainers At Canterwood, we welcome a variety of trainers to work with boarders and Canterwood residents. We are very fortunate to have such talented trainers come to our Club and work with our students.
Chelsea Reher Chelsea Reher has been a Gig Harbor native her entire life and has been riding since the age of five. Chelsea has earned her Gold medal, competing at the highest level of the equestrian competition of dressage. Chelsea offers a full scope of training and lessons and works with riders of many disciplines such as flat seat, western riding and all levels of dressage. She has given lessons out of Canterwood since 2013.
Delicia Molten-Sorenson Delicia Molton-Sorensen brings 42 years of equestrian experience to Canterwood. She helps riders of all ages become proficient in the riding and handling of horses. Delicia has two school horses at Canterwood - Ruby and Andy who love to teach students the basics of riding. They also have show experience and will help all riders move on to advanced levels. Delicia's goal is to create harmony and partnership between horse and rider. She has achieved her Silver Medal and judging certification. She is currently working with Vencedor, a 15 year old Lusitano on Grand Prix level in dressage.
Kelly Irving-Burris Kelly is a Grand Prix rider and trainer who has been dedicated to dressage for 20 years. She has been particularly passionate about bringing up talented young riders in the sport, and her young students have competed at the championships in seven of the last 12 years, including 2017. Kelly has also worked under the tutelage of Linda Zange in Wellington, Florida, competing for the Brentina Cup (under 25 Grand Prix) in 2010 and finishing ninth in the nation. She is currently riding and competing on a couple of world class young horses, Sir Deven (Sir Donnerhall x Rubignon) and a Hanoverian mare, Devinee, that she will show at Grand Prix level in the spring.
